All classes are run with qualified, experienced and passionate teachers who help our dancers achieve their full potential all whilst also having lots of fun.
You can join our dance family to make friends and improve social skills or take your journey further by joining one of our Competition Teams!

IDTA Examinations - All students are invited each year to take their exams in their chosen dance styles. An examiner will travel from the International Dance Teachers Association to our Studio in the autumn of each year. Although all our students are invited to participate these are not compulsory & will not affect our student’s ability to progress at the same level as their peers. Some say IDTA exams are the perfect way to build upon confidence and recognise self-achievement. This is followed up by a red-carpet awards ceremony & party evening.

Shows & Performances – Each year towards the beginning of July we hold an annual showcase. We bring all dancers together across all classes & styles to annually perform on stage together for all their family & friends – our dancers love coming together under spotlight.

Musical Theatre performances - these are held in addition to our annual show, twice per year, this allows us to showcase all our recent works. Summer of 2023, we had our performance of Welcome to Wonderland, Winter of 2023 saw our dancers take to the West End in London as part of a bigger production & most recently we have just celebrated our successful performance of Once Upon A Time. We are already hard at work on our next project.

Workshops & Dance Camps - here at VLD we simply love to dance, so during the school holidays we will often take the opportunity to hold professional workshops for our competitors as well as dance camps where we simply teach a variety of dance choreography ready for our open sessions.

Competition Teams – We have 2 teams at VLD. Our Ballroom & Latin Squad & our Freestyle Team. We take pride in taking our dancers to some of the most prestigious events in the competition calendars. Training dancers from beginners right through to championship status. We have members on our team aged from a tiny 4yrs currently right through to 19yrs. Coming together with your team on a competition day is something rather special. We currently hold the IDTA Nationwide Freestyle Star Dance Champion, this is the 2nd time we have achieved this, as well as Worlds ADFP Freestyle finalists 3years running. Our success rate speaks for itself.

Dance Parties – These are a huge hit at our studio, always including plenty of games & dances. With our own private kitchen, it is ideal for private hire parties too from outside VLD – we take the pressure off & become your party planner & hosts.

At VLD we pride ourselves on being inclusive. Everything is on offer to all our students but nothing is ever compulsory. We aim to nurture our students to be the best they can be & guide them throughout their dancing journey. Building confidence & self belief, all whilst creating life long memories to cherish & of course sharing our love of dance.
